My BUDL report on my middle school debate team is as follows. My middle school debate team is William H . Lemmel. I recently had the opportunity to conduct my first and official meeting with the team. While there, I had the opportunity to study and learn from the team accordingly. I met with 16 total students on the team. They were team captain Carl Mitchell, Malik Moore, Nia Townes, and Debrah Simms. Mr. Moore and Mr. Mitchell are veteran debaters on the squad.

The coaches are very interesting. Mr. Morrow and Ms. Rosemond have both coached the team for Three Years. Lemmel's practice days are on Mondays and Wednesdays. As an observer I maneuvered my way to talk to the students as they participated in mock debates. I personally feel good about the limitless potential the team has. I also feel they have the right combination of coaches. Mr. Morrow is a high energy free spirited coach while Ms. Rosemond is a bit sterner and serious. Rounding up my report it occurred that Lemmel's debate team came in fifth place at the first tournament. So indeed they have talent. Finally I asked first year debater Debrah Simms how she felt about adjusting debate topics monthly and she replied " I can handle the pressure. It's no that tough".
