WALBROOK — Not everyone was able to brave the rain early morning on a Saturday for a debate competition, but nearly 200 high school students from 25 schools did. All three divisions (novice, JV and Varsity) had strong showings, with many excited judges remarking on the quality of the debates. Digital Harbor's Lucas Olivera and Timothy Bowen came away as the top varsity team, and Kaitlin Messinger (City College) was the top Varsity speaker. Rain couldn't stop the debates!!
