The Wyoming Speech and Debate Union is pleased to announce that two full-tuition, out-of-state scholarships are being reserved for high school graduates who have participated in the Baltimore Urban Debate League, and who will be entering college in the Fall of 2007. The scholarships will cover yearly tuition and fees. Preference will be given to incoming frosh willing to work extremely hard on both academics and debate.

Established in 1912, the University of Wyoming Debate Team is consistently ranked in the top 20 nationally in both NDT/CEDA and Parliamentary debate. Currently, UW is ranked 9th in Varsity NDT Rankings, and has recently appeared in elimination rounds at Georgia State, Emporia, Northern Iowa, Harvard, Texas, Northwestern, Colorado College, and CEDA Nationals.

The University of Wyoming is an excellent place to go to school. UW combines major-university benefits and small-school advantages, with more than 180 programs of study, an outstanding faculty, and world-class research facilities all set against the idyllic backdrop of southeastern Wyoming's rugged mountains and high plains.

Graduates of the UW Debate Team have gone onto the nation’s top-ranked Law Schools (including Harvard), as well as some of the most competitive graduate programs in the U.S., including Wake Forest, Penn State, Texas and more. The University is also ranked as one of the least expensive four-year educations in the nation.
