BUDL'S College Access Counselor Has Arrived

The Baltimore Urban Debate League is proud to announce the addition of a College Access Counselor. Shannon Twenter began this inaugural position in November and is excited to work with students on making their college dreams become a reality. She is available for one-on-one help at The Village Learning Place with college applications and essays, Financial Aid questions, and all the other components involved in preparing to attend college. The Village Learning Place also recently opened their new College Resource Center with books, brochures, pamphlets, and applications for SAT, College, and Financial Aid – come check it out. Recently, she organized the 2nd Annual College Fair and is working on putting together workshops to address groups of students on these college concerns. As this position takes form, she encourages input and support on assisting these great debaters in bringing their talents to a college or university.
