Patterson wins BUDLman
WALBROOK HIGH SCHOOL, BALTIMORE — To be completely honest, the list of schools that have shown itself worthy of the BUDLman award is endless. Every school here has, at some time or another, shown the qualities that it represents: Walbrook's seemingly unending run as the premier squad in our league, City's dedication to presenting the best cases, Southside's amazing ability to field a superior team from the minute it arived in BUDL. These are just a few examples of the excellent talent that exists here.
However, we eventually decided on a team that seems very familiar to us. Although always good, they really seem to be hitting their stride, winning numerous individual awards in all divisions as well as earning squad honors. As a school that has always struggled with being a smaller squad, we particularly appreciate the ability to win despite one's size. So, we think it is fitting that the BUDLman award return to where it all began, to the school that invented it. Congratulations to Patterson High School!
Sincerely,
The Carver Debate Team
