2005 BUDL College Fair

Representatives from a wide variety of Colleges and Universities\ will come together on November 19th from 1 - 4PM at Frederick Douglass High\ School to meet the amazing students of BUDL. Attendees will include Johns Hopkins,\ University of Arkansas - Pine Bluff, Loyola (MD), North Carolina A&T, Bucknell,\ Tuskegee Institute, Marist and many more.

BUDL students will have the\ opportunity to visit with each school official during the fair. The admissions\ officials and alumni from the schools will come prepared to discuss not only\ their schools & programs, but scholarships & financial aid support, how to even\ the odds between applicants from different economic and social strata, what\ it's like to be the first in your family to attend college and much more. Many\ of those that have debate programs will have coaches or debaters on hand to\ share their experiences & opportunites in intercollegiate debate, as well.

Most importantly, BUDL students will get to showcase their skills and make\ a lasting impression on college officals before the application process begins\ in earnest. These schools are excited to meet the hundreds of students from\ the 30 schools which make up the High School League. And BUDL is proud to make\ the introduction for its debaters - young people who have the resiliency to\ overcome life struggles, ability to think broadly, and debate skills that have\ taught them to research, formulate answers and express their opinions with confidence.
