Homeless for a Night Debate 6

Part of a series of seven public debates as part of Carver's "Homeless for a Night" evening. The topic was"Resolved: that games have a positive effect on children." Ronnie Pulley affirmed, and Ivory Okwar was Negative. The format was abreviated policy, with shorter speeches, constructives and rebuttals, and "open cross examination" in which opponents and audience members questioned constructive speakers. More than 30 students, debaters, parents, family members, coaches and teachers were involved. The Carver team raised more than $500 to help the Code Blue shelter, not including canned goods, blankets, and other donations. Ronnie gets props for the quote of the night: "Do not pass go--do not collect $200--go directly to jail--That's life!"
